Fun with EXAscan – Water Pump

Doing body panels and composite parts with the EXAscan is dead easy, but getting very nice clean scans of mechanical parts takes a bit more practice.  I feel like we’re finally getting confident with scanning these trickier parts.  Aaron Burhoe of Burhoe Machine Works wanted a water pump housing and impeller scanned, and we were more than happy to oblige.  Here’s the parts:

I’ll be rebuilding the impeller surface in T-Splines/Rhino this week.  Should be fun!
